I am lucky enough to have been the recipient of many reviews of my book The Year of Knots, but seeing Geoffrey Budworth’s review in issue 154 made my heart skip a beat, and is hands down the one I hold in the very highest esteem. I’m honored and thrilled that Mr. Budworth enjoyed it, as I in turn have greatly enjoyed —and learned from— his books.
One of my biggest takeaways from my years owning an independent record shop where we sold quite obscure music is that there is always community to be found in the tucked-away small corners of the world where our true passion lies, no matter how esoteric or non-mainstream. Happily, I have found this is true in my life as a knot tying artist. I’m very, very grateful to the IGKT for bringing together our community of knot lovers.
